Support for Case Managers

Borders Occupational Therapy has extensive experience working alongside case managers to support clients in achieving their maximum functional potential following injury or illness.

We offer comprehensive initial assessments and detailed reports, providing bespoke recommendations tailored to each client's individual needs and goals. Recommendations may include targeted occupational therapy intervention, equipment provision, environmental adaptations, support with regaining structure and routine, or longer-term rehabilitation programmes. We are able to assess client’s with a range of presenting conditions including orthopaedic trauma and brain injury.

Fiona brings a wealth of medico-legal experience and regularly prepares care and occupational therapy expert witness reports for the court. This specialist expertise provides a strong understanding of the complex needs often experienced following life-changing injuries, enabling informed recommendations that support recovery, independence, and quality of life.

We recognise that navigating rehabilitation and care needs following a significant injury can be challenging. Our aim is to work collaboratively with clients, families, case managers, and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure that rehabilitation is meaningful, goal-focused, and centred on the individual's needs. Borders Occupational Therapy are able to accept referrals within the Scottish Borders and surrounding areas.
