Occupational Therapy in the Scottish Borders, Edinburgh and Across Scotland

Home-based occupational therapy assessments for adults and older adults, helping people stay safe, independent and confident in everyday life.
Borders Occupational Therapy provides specialist occupational therapy assessments for adults and older adults across the Scottish Borders, Edinburgh, the Lothians and wider Scotland & north of England.
We look beyond diagnoses and limitations, focusing instead on what matters most to you - your independence, confidence, daily routines and quality of life.
Our assessments take place in your own home or care setting and are tailored to your individual needs. We provide clear, practical recommendations to help make everyday life safer, easier and more manageable.
This may include advice on home adaptations, specialist equipment, moving and handling, memory strategies, self-management, confidence building and support to access social activities.
Whether you are looking for support for yourself, a loved one or someone in your care, we can help you find realistic, practical ways forward.

Meet Fiona
Hello, I’m Fiona, founder of Borders Occupational Therapy Limited.
I’m an experienced Occupational Therapist based in Gattonside in the Scottish Borders, supporting adults and older adults across the Scottish Borders, Edinburgh, the Lothians and wider Scotland.
Since qualifying in 2007, I have worked across hospitals, community services and leadership roles, supporting people with a wide range of physical, cognitive and mental health needs.
Through Borders Occupational Therapy, I bring this experience into independent practice, providing personalised, practical and evidence-based assessments in your own home, care setting or workplace.
My focus is always on what matters most to you - helping you or your loved one stay safe, independent, confident and connected to everyday life.
